Company  backgroundFoshan Huafeng is one of the largest producers of high-quality coated white board in southern China.The company is majority owned by China Chengtong Group(62.11%), with Foshan Huaxin Packaging Holding a 37.89% stake.Foshan Huafeng has two board mills in Guangdong province. Foshan Huafeng Foshan mill employs some 750 people while the Zhuhai mill has 680 staff.The company was formed from a 1990s restructuring of Foshan Huaqiao Paper Making Factory, a coated recycled board and directory paper mill in Foshan that was set up in the 1960s,but halted in the 1980s due to environmental concerns about the straw pulp process in use.This original mill in Foshan houses two cartonboard machines, PM 1 and PM 2, with a combined capacity of 150,000 tonnes/yr.The two units manufacture only grayback coated duplex board.PM 1 ,which was installed in 1982 by Shanghai Paper Machines Conpany, has a total capacity of 20,000 tonnes/yr.
