Zhongtong Bus (Holding) Co., Ltd. is a public company listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. We are a key Chinese manufacturer and exporter of light, middle and large size standard buses, city buses and coaches as well as auto chassis, trailers and vehicle parts.
Currently, we hold assets of nearly USD100,000,000 and employ 1,700 staff. Among our qualified staff, more than 370 are professionals and nearly 200 are technical engineers. Our manufacturing facilities occupy roughly 110,000 square meters of space and house over 300 sets of manufacturing equipment. With the introduction of internationally advanced technology and equipment, we now utilize a first-class production line with an annual capacity of 4,000 buses.
Correspondingly, our company has a powerful capacity for product development. We are capable of producing more than 40 different types of buses, including light, middle and large buses as well as standard, medium and high-grade buses. Moreover, we have established a provincial level scientific research center, and have been honored as one of the model enterprises for "Demonstration, Applying 863/CIMS" by Chinese authorities. Furthermore, in 1998, we were awarded ISO9001 quality system certification. As a result, our products are well sold both domestically and internationally.
In 1999, we reached an agreement with the Netherlands Bova Company on the transfer of high-grade bus technology. With this alliance, we have been able to introduce the Zhongtong-Bova luxury bus into the domestic market. Looking to the future, we plan to establish a state level scientific research center that will offer an annual production capacity of 6,000 common buses and an annual sales income of about USD230,000,000 by 2005. We believe these efforts will increase our market share and expand our brand presence in the global economy. |
