Beijing Wondow Vegetable Capsule Co., Ltd, founded in 2011 and located in Yanqi Economic Development Zone, Huairou District, Beijing, is China?s first and largest empty seaweed polysaccharides capsule manufacturer. Wondow has dedicated years of efforts to research, developing and innovation of seaweed polysaccharide capsules and related products. With introduction of advanced manufacturing facilities and adoption of modern biotechnology, Wondow has reached or approached advanced international level in the research and application of seaweed polysaccharide composite gel series products. These are the only domestic pharmaceutical excipient products whose main material is extracted from marine plants.
In 2005, Qinhuangdao Medical Capsule Co., Ltd, Wondow's subsidiary, obtained the drug registration approval of seaweed empty capsule product by State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA), and the relevant technique was granted the patent right by the State Intellectual Properties Office of the People?s Republic of China (SIPO).
The seaweed capsule is made of seaweed polysaccharide gum and hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose (HPMC). Seaweed polysaccharides capsules bear all the advantages of gelatin capsules, for example, ease of swallowing, masking of undesirable flavor and taste, high drug bioavailability and stability, ideal dosage form for sustained-release and compound preparation, simple recipe of fillings. Besides these advantages, the seaweed polysaccharide capsule also have its own prominent advantages in such aspects as capsule materials, mechanical strength, chemical properties, safety performance and market adaptability.
Besides seaweed polysaccharide capsules, Wondow also produces seaweed polysaccharide gum, seaweed polysaccharide film coating premixed adjuvant, seaweed polysaccharide gum for soft capsules and other related products. |
