Jiangsu Huaxi Group Corp. is a large-size first-level township enterprise and has been awarded as National Model Township Enterprise, National Civilized Township Enterprise, National Science and Technology Industrial Park of Township Enterprises as well as National Model Unit for Ideological and Political Work. Since 1979?s, Huaxi people have been devoted to industrial development from no bases at all, and especially after the reform and opening policy they continuously unbound their thoughts and speeded up development with cooperative economy as the principle. In 1994, Huaxi Group Corp. was established, with 8 subsidiary companies and total fixed assets of over RMB6 billion. By 2004, the Group has achieved sales revenue of RMB26 billion and is aimed to reach RMB30 billion in 2005. The group now employs 25000 persons, over 2000 of whom are middle and senior engineering technicians. Most subsidiary companies of the Group have imported advanced production facilities from abroad. They produce series of fabrics, suits, polyester fibers, dyed knitwear, threads, Tropic and Flannel, which cover more than 1000 different items in over 10,000 different specifications. Products are mainly exported to over 40 countries and regions from Asia, Europe and America. In addition, the Group owns its own brands of ?Huaxicun‿and ?Renbao‿which are famous in both domestic and overseas markets. In 1999, ?Huaxicun‿A Stock was successfully published in Shenzhen Stock Market. Huaxicun Holding Co., Ltd. thus became the first company that is named according to the county name.
