Launched in 2000, China Aid has been running 5 successful events up to now. As the biggest and most authoritative show in the rehabilitation, nursing and healthcare sector in China, China Aid is hosted by Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau, Shanghai Municipal Committee on Aging, Shanghai Disabled Persons锟斤拷Federation and CCPIT Shanghai. It is also supported by China Civil Administration Ministry, China Disabled Person锟斤拷 Federation, National Research Center for Rehabilitation Technical Aids, Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine and Shanghai Municipal Health Bureau.
Hundreds of renowned companies from Germany, USA, Britain, France, Holland, Belgium, Sweden, Singapore, Japan, China mainland and the Taiwan province showcased their wide range of products and new technology at China Aid 2010. The exhibits included rehabilitation and aid, instruments for mobility, orthotics and prosthetics, daily care and aids, furniture and accessories, communication and aids, nursing care, recreation and others.
As a response to the rapid growth of the industry and the increasing demand of the market, China Aid will become an annual event from 2011. The next China Aid show will be held from May 16th to 18th, 2011 in Intex Shanghai. It will also feature an extensive fringe program, which includes the forum on China Aging Development, the International Symposium on Assistive Devices Fit, the Forum of Rehabilitation, Industry Seminars, and the Science and Technology Interactive Zone for the Elderly.
