Semtech Electronics Limited, a subsidiary of Sino-Tech International Holdings Limited which is listed on the main board of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, was founded in 1980s. Semtech Electronics Limited started from the trading of electronic components and subsequently proceeds to the establishment of a modernized discrete semiconductor manufacturing plant in 2003 with a current total production capacity of over 2 billion pieces per month.
In the early 1990s, when most people were thinking discrete semiconductors would be completely replaced by IC, Sino-Tech Group continued to develop its business in this direction, as well as established its own brand - "ST" for Diode and Transistor in the discrete electronic components market.
With the formation of a new research and development center and a modernized production plant with more than 140 acres in Dongguan in 2003, Sino-Tech Group already started the production of SOD series Diodes. The production of SOT-23 and SOT-323 series Diodes and Transistors, and SOT-89 series Transistors was commenced in 2005, followed by the production of TO-220, TO-251 and TO-252 Diode and Transistor in 2006 |
