Cathay is a custom manufacturer with its own manufacturing facility in Wuxi City, just two hours away from the Shanghai Port. The core competence of our plant is general machining including lathing, milling, and CNC work with various materials and forms such as bar stocks, castings, forging, and extrusion. We have a strong partnership with foundries, forging facilities, and other material and process providers. Our customers are mostly from North America and Europe. From numerous projects with our international customers, we have built a strong knowledge of international engineering and quality requirements.
Cathay is also the international business representative for our core manufacturing partners. Those partnering plants specifically focus on a variety of processes such as Machining, Casting, Forging, Stamping, Injection molding, Blow Molding, Molded Cables, and Wire Harnesses. Cathay is their authorized representative handling overseas market development as well as managing commercial matters such as quotation, samples, purchase orders, exportation, and logistics on half of our partners.
Furthermore, for products that we do not manufacture either at Cathay?s plant or our partners? plants, we have a dedicated team of sourcing professionals at our Shanghai office who work with a network of 200 plus local suppliers so as to provide our customers a one-stop service in their China outsourcing effort. We monitor and maintain quality standards, oversee productions, and ensure that agreed schedules are met. We take steps to secure any intellectual property entrusted to the Chinese manufacturer. Our Shanghai office acts to prevent misunderstandings and difficulties between you and the Chinese plants with our professional and bilingual team.
