As a comprehensive enterprise for bulk drugs and medical preparations, Beijing Zizhu Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. was founded in 1969 as a state-owned large key enterprise.The west area is a workshop for production of bulk drugs such as levonorgestrel and mifepristone, etc, while the east area is made up of many buildings including combined preparation building, tablet & capsule workshop as well as comprehensive technical building. The main birth control medicines are as follows, Yuting (levonorgestrel tablet 0.75mg), compound levonorgestrel tablet, mifepristone tablet, misoprostol, levonorgestrel quinestrol tablet and gestrinone capsule. Both production & development of contraceptive drugs and reproductive drugs have already gained a high predominance and a great share in the domestic market. Zizhu-pharm is appointed by China National Family Planning Commission and China National Bureau of Drugs Supervision and Administration as the largest scientific research & production base of birth control medicine. To adapt itself to the economic globalization and smooth the way for entry into the international market, the Company is about to invest 1.6 million Eurodollars for introduction of two automatic medicine-packaging lines this year.
