Shanghai Baosteel Construction Design&Research Institute is established in the year 1981, and mainly engaged in the development and production of Cold-rolled Forming Steel Hollow Section, investigation for the advanced process of metallurgy and equipment, and engineering design.
Shanghai Baosteel Institute is one of the earliest enterprises developing the Cold-rolled Forming Steel Hollow Section in china, and edited 6 national standards for Cold-rolled Forming Hollow Section in the past 40years. The Cold-rolled Forming Section Steel Plant under Baosteel Institute has 7 producing lines, and the annual capacity is 300000MT. In 2004, the larger size, higher strength cold-rolled forming producing lines be installed in the steel plant, and the producing line is able to manufacture the Higher-strength Hollow Section: thickness from 4~19mm, width from 350~2000mm, Yield point>345Mpa, Tensile strength>700Mpa.
The Cold-rolled Forming Section Steel Plant under Baosteel Institute mainly manufacturing: ERW Steel Hollow Section (square, rectangular), Round Steel Pipe, Universal Open-shaped Hollow Section and Channel Steel. For ERW Steel Hollow Section(square, rectangular), the size ranges from 20x20 to 500x500 with thickness from 1.5mm to 16mm; For Round Steel Pipes, we have the size: OD114.3, OD168.3, OD194, and the max. thickness can be 12.5mm. We exported 200x200x15 to korea, 400x400x16 EN10219 S355J2H to Europe. The standard can be JIS G3466, ASTM A500, EN10219 etc, and can also manufacture the products as per the client?? requirements.
The products can be widely used in Construction, Ship Making, Mechanism, Bus, Transportation, Railway or other fields, and it has been used in some national projects, such as: Tianjin Olympic Sports Center, Shanghai Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Pudong Airport, Xiamen Haicang Bridge etc.
