Qingdao Yangtse River Group employs over 2000 workers and 700 engineers and technicians. The group has registered capital of $17 million and fixed assets of $12 million. Its exports generate approximately $16.3 million annually. The subsidiaries of Qingdao Group is designed to form a fabric and apparel production and distribution line. This includes cotton procurement, cotton grinding, oil pressing, spinning, weaving and clothing designing and distribution. The group has modern equipment for production including cotton press, spinning and weaving machinery. It has 50,000 spindles and 1100 sets of looms. In 2001, it received the ISO 9000 Quality System certification.
Qindao Group markets its merchandise both domestically and internationally. Its products are distributed to over 20 countries throughout Europe, North America and Southeast Asia. The group has won several awards and prizes from the Qingdao Municipal Government and the Industrial and Commercial Bureau of Shandon Province.
