Atrium C&I is a leading manufacturer of Voice over IP (Internet Protocol) and smart card solutions. Based in Seoul, Korea, the company has had a great deal of success bringing its web appliance products to the Japanese market. In Japan, the company has sold its products to customers in the telemedicine, retail, and financial services markets.
The company was founded in April 2000 and had its first sale to a Japanese distributor in May 2000. Demonstrations of the company's VoIP, terminal and network solutions were held in Osaka, Japan and Shanghai, China in the summer of 2000. In December 2000, the company hosted a full demonstration system for VoIP, terminal and network solutions at Vires, Japan.
In March, 2001, the company received recognition of certified Superior Technology Company from the Korea Technology Credit Guarantee Fund. In April, the company completed its first Video & Voice over IP using H.323, H.324 protocols under Window CE product for the market. In November, the company started manufacturing the Web Pad. At the end of the year, the first delivery of Web Pad to Japan occurred. In 2002, the company participated in COMDEX in Chicago and CEBIT in Hanover, Germany. In June, the company established a Tokyo Division in Japan and in July entered the North American market with the establishment of Atrium USA(former Hana Data Solutions US).
