Shanghai Expo 2010, will no longer be a one-time use of traditional plastic cutlery, but use of biomass material "corn plastic" is made without any pollution to the environment. Yesterday, at Tongji University Centennial Forum, the school of Materials Science and Engineering, Associate Dean Professor Ren Jie said, is not only a one-off cups, trays, boxes, road signs used at the Expo, badge, magnetic card will likely come from corn. Jie Ren explained that the biomass of this new material called "PLA" is the Corn Crop Preparation obtained by fermentation of a "green oil." This material can be recycled, and take one from crops to lactic acid to polylactic acid to polylactic acid products, to natural degradation of the cycle chain, without the burden of the environment.
